I created this recording in 2018 to document a guitar quartet I had written that takes inspiration from the song "Boom Boom Boom Boom" by the Vengaboys. There are two main sources of inspiration here:
1. The melody of the chorus
2. The image of four guitars booming

As it went on I became more and more interested in the artifacts of recording: metronomes to keep all four parts together, sounds of me counting to myself, sounds of the city, animal noises from the outside. The resulting recording is both a recording of a guitar quartet and a recording of the process of recording a guitar quartet by myself in my London apartment, making due with what little recording equipment I had at the time.
